"It's a strange thing to paint about what is unseen."

The current work is called Bright Angel Trail series. It is based on the legendary Bright Angel Trail that was built in the Grand Canyon in the 1800's and descends 5,700 ft. from the rim to the canyon floor and back again. It is the only access there. Mules still work the trail today.

"I paint horses. And burros and mules. I let the form rise up through memories, dreams, emotions. In the end, I am usually surprised by what was found or what spoke."

Sharron was born in 1956 in Los Angeles, CA. She is married to Russ Evans and they have lived in Utah for more than 30 years. Since 1991 they have lived on Birch Creek Ranch, 200 isolated acres that was a Native American wintering ground and later a pioneer homestead. Sharron has lived with horses, burros and mules throughout her adult life. She and Russ have three daughters, two son-in-laws and three grandsons.
